2020欧洲杯体育在线网址Everybody needs a good fuck once in a while. Men, women, and everybody in between. Even celibates get horny. It can be easy to offend someone by using the wrong pronoun, but how can you offend someone by acknowledging their primal desire for intercourse?

2020欧洲杯体育在线网址For example:

Person 1: Do you know Blake?

Person 2: Blake? Of course! That fucker used to play football with me.

Person 1: Really?

Person 2: Yeah! We're actually shopping for sundresses later today.

2020欧洲杯体育在线网址Person 1: Cool, can I come with you fuckers?

2020欧洲杯体育在线网址Person 2: No, but you can meet us at the strip club later for some wings.

Hello everyone, this is gonna be a bit longer, so if you are not interested in a long read, feel free to scroll to TLDR.

So to begin with, I believe a bit of background about myself is appropriate so that people have an idea about where this all comes from. I am 24, just finishing my master's degree in inorganic chemistry this year. Ever since I was little, I have always been baffled regarding the opinions many people had about such issues. I ended up in a lot of fights with people who were also very concerned about the environment over the years, which mostly didn't achieve much, which has really troubled me because the facts are clear, but for some unknown reason (at the time) no one seemed to get it. The goal of this post is to get it off me and hopefully show as many people as possible, what the reality is. I will try to distinguish as clearly as possible among the pure data and my own opinions in this piece. By no means am expert in this field, but I have a decent understanding of all the field which play the part in this (thermodynamics, electrical engineering, energy sources, and a bit of high energy physics).

2020欧洲杯体育在线网址The first thing people should understand is the basics of energy distribution. Our entire energy grid is the result of the fact that energy generation is an extremely inefficient process (in a common power grid around 68% of energy is lost before it gets to your home). Every means (apart from solar panels) is dependent on a generator that generates electricity by Faraday's Law of Induction. Without getting technical, what happens is that when you move magnets and conductors next to one another, electricity is generated. What happens in the reality that some sort of fuel produces gasses (commonly water vapor, which has very good properties for this) that spin a massive machine with magnets around a huge coil. This machine is a state of the art, costs loads of money and all of that is worth it to not lose as much energy as we would otherwise. The rest of the grid is made to accommodate this. Electricity is made in huge power plants because they are more efficient than small ones distributed more densely. To reduce the losses in transmission, all the power is converted to very high voltages, which itself costs billions in infrastructure and maintenance.

We have established, that all we need from the fuel is to spin the rotor (the moving part of the generator). So which one is the best? As in everything in life, there are trade-offs, but some combinations are definitely better than others.

Here is a small overview of common energy sources.

  • 2020欧洲杯体育在线网址Solar energy - one outsider (there is no spinning involved). It is surprisingly bad for nature, the manufacturing and disposal of solar panels are very dirty and energy-intensive. They also have a very short life, high volatility (both throughout the year and wether depending) and not the best efficiency. The only reasonable use of solar panels, in my opinion, is to put in on rooftops for house heating or in 3rd world countries where infrastructure doesn't give any alternatives.

  • Wind energy - apart from destroying the landscape, it is also very volatile. In contrary to popular opinion, very fast winds are actually not a good thing, is it strains the bearings (greatly simplified) and has to be actually slowed down. What you want are consistent faster winds. The efficiency if good, up to 40 %

  • Geothermal energy - sadly not very viable on a large scale, but with good geothermal sources very very good. You basically get pressurized steam (there are lots of types, let us omit the technicalities), that you don't have to do much with before pushing into the generator.

  • Fossil fuels - Coal, Natural gas, Oil - They are very dirty. And I mean very very dirty. Depending on the coal used (varies a lot) it actually often produces more radioactive waste than nuclear powerplants (scary, I know). That waste is either ash or gets dispersed in the exhaust from the plant. Mostly radioactive carbon, uranium, and thorium. The sad thing is we need these plants. They are the only ones that can quickly react to energy needs and basically stabilize the entire grid. At around 35 efficiency, depending on many factors, they are not a huge win, but cheap, versatile provide most of the electricity.

  • Nuclear power - Most of the people don't understand where the energy comes from, so this will be a quick walkthrough. Many have you know or have seen the famous equation by Einsteins E = mc22020欧洲杯体育在线网址, what it means is that there is some sort of equivalency between energy and mass. And that is exactly where nuclear energy is from. A very small amount of mass is converted into huge amounts of energy when the atoms are split. It has many disadvantages such as nuclear waste, constant output, very high building costs, etc, but it produces clean energy (yeah, hard to believe, I will talk about in detail below) and very low price.

2020欧洲杯体育在线网址Here is where the comparison between renewables and nuclear comes. Unpopular fact is that nuclear energy is about 2x- 3x cleaner than solar and wind. Most of the difference comes down to the fact that building windmills and solar panels is expensive, energy-demanding, resources demanding, they don't last very long, but most importantly they produce very little energy for all that. The nuclear power plant is very expensive to build, but after that, it produces very little waste (more on this later) and a huge amount of energy. If we were to calculate in the cost of manufacturing and disposal of these power sources and normalize it to the energy output, it turns out that it produces around 2-3 times less CO2 while being significantly cheaper. E.g. if we were to replace a nuclear power plant by renewables, we would both hurt the nature and pay twice the money for it (while not including in that the nuclear plant is built already).

2020欧洲杯体育在线网址Many people have a large number of concerns about anything that contains the word "nuclear". This personally saddens me, as I believe it comes partly from not understanding and partly from the media turning it into the big thing. For instance, MRI that we all know from hospitals are "correctly" called NMR standing for Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, but people were scared of it being called nuclear and just turned down the procedure without even listening, so they call it MRI instead, it still works the same.

I can't tell you how sick I am of this topic.

If you go on half the internet today you'll see women claiming how men have it so much better and how they'd love to have all the benefits men do. I admit being a guy comes with a lot of perks, don't get me wrong, but I think most women would hate being a man if they had all the social expectations of one.

Usually what I see women wanting is to feel invisible. Being able to walk alone at night without fearing you'd be attacked and unable to fight back. The ability to just be yourself and do what you want without fear.

No one wants to admit that this invisibility carries far deeper into most men's lives. Yes, you're invisible and you can "do what you want", but you're also alone. Your feelings don't matter to people. You don't get emotional support from friends or family, you're only expected to offer that to others and be an emotional sponge.

Another thing I see is wanting to be praised at work and more heard. Someone told me once that men are praised if they spend their lives at work instead of raising kids. That felt like such a blind statement to me. There was no acknowledgment of how shitty it is to be expected to only work your whole life. Your personal life means less to you as a male. You might not be expected to have kids like a woman would, but you're expected to work yourself to the bone.

The opposite exists too. I see so many guys wanting to be women thinking they have it better. Guys think being female is the be-all end-all for meeting people. Sure, I think most men would initially appreciate being approached more - but they'd quickly tire of the constant approaches or people making sexualized comments in some last-ditch hope that their dirty comment will get them laid.

Or how as a female, your life is "so much easier" because you could be a stay at home parent. Which would again, be nice for a few days until it hits how reliant you are on another person, and how much you're sacrificing in your life and career to just do the same household things every day.

2020欧洲杯体育在线网址Being a man sucks. Being a woman sucks. For just about every perceived benefit you have of the other gender there's a caveat there and something that makes it a lot harder to deal with day to day. If roles were reversed, most people would hate it, or I'd hope at least be more empathetic to everyone else.

I know it's different from racism or similars etc. because you weren't born with the religion

2020欧洲杯体育在线网址But i've been afraid of telling people that i'm christian just because of the fear that maybe they'll say stuff like "omg you hate gays, disgusting" and all of that mumbo-jumbo that it isn't true forme.

2020欧洲杯体育在线网址It would be the equivalent of saying "he's black... hE mUsT bE a CrImInAl". Hating someone just because they believe in someone without knowing the person first is discrimination, but this it's never addresed

EDIT: Holy mcnugget this post blew up so fast that i can barely keep up but the most common comment is "Hating someone beliefs-" If you don't like the belief that's your business, that's not my point

What i'm saying is that hating someone because of said belief without knowing them first is bad, if you don't want anything to do with religion, fine, but if someone tells you "im a christian" without context, ditching them out is a very dick move

2020欧洲杯体育在线网址“Its hygienic!” “Its more efficient!” “It saves water!” “It saved my newborn from a burning building!”

2020欧洲杯体育在线网址No. No. No. No. I don’t give a flying fuck unless it cures cancer.

2020欧洲杯体育在线网址It is SOOO FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE to use those things. Im standing in front of a sink trying to do a 30-second job that ends up taking two minutes. I look like a lunatic waving my hand under that sensor and as soon as I pull away water starts pouring. Just as I get my hand under the stream it turns off. The fuck? And even if I finally get it to run, it automatically turns off for no fucking good reason. And the worst part is when I have the soap in my hand already. I am trying to wash my hands and it cuts off, and I am waving my soapy hands under the sensor trying to activate it, which is for some reason more annoying than waving your dry hands under it.

2020欧洲杯体育在线网址Listen, I love hygiene. Im the most hygienic guy you’ve probably ever met unless you met someone who is more hygienic than me. But the quality of those motion-detectors are so TRASH. I literally get angry at them. When I walk into a restroom and see motion detector sinks, you can hear me audibly groan. Lately I have been avoiding restrooms with motion detectors. That is hard to do in places with identical restroom standards (airports, malls, etc.) because every restroom is the same. It has become a literal pain in the ass.

Maybe I am just lazy. Maybe I am just whiny and complaining. “Hur dur, look at Mr. First-World-Problems here!” Fuck off bud. I wasnt a starving kid in Africa but life was tough growing up in a single bed apartment with broke-ass parents in El Monte. We eventually made it out and life is good now, and maybe I am privileged now. In fact, compared to the rest of world, I am super fucking privileged! But here is the thing: I know this is a FWP and I don’t care. It is annoying and inconveniencing as HELL!

We need to bring manual faucets back! To people saying, “what about all the gross people who touch it?” a) you are a gross person too, as am I despite my efforts to be hygienic, its human, we all nashty, b) opening the faucet doesnt matter, you are gonna be washing anyway. It is closing that is the issue. Here is the solution: use a paper towel. If you are lucky, the fuckwads who installed the motion detectors halfassed the job and didn’t remove the paper towel dispensers in favor of air dryers. Let it run for a few seconds. Grab a paper towel. Close the sink. Dispense of the towel. Boom. Done. Hygiene. “Its wasting water!” Listen Karen, you waste hundreds of gallons of more water trying to keep your petunias hydrated, so fuck off. We can cut our wasting of water in other aspects of life, but the one aspect we should not sacrifice is: hygiene.

2020欧洲杯体育在线网址“Well, what if there are no paper towels (only air dryers) and all the stalls are occupied so you cant nab toilet paper?” At this point, you should contemplate giving up in life and become a hermit. For me, I just suck it up, close the tap with my hand, dry my hands, and apply some pocket hand sanitizer after I leave. It isn’t the most hygienic thing in the world, but it is SOOO MUCH better than wasting 2 minutes trying to work the damn motion sensing faucet.

2020欧洲杯体育在线网址Tl;dr: Fuck motion-detector faucets.

Pretty self explanatory but I’ve been in scenarios walking my dog before where other individuals walking by can’t control their dog purely because the person doesn’t have enough size and/or strength. You shouldn’t own a 100lb dog if you are unable to contain the animal. I’ve seen 100lb petite girls walking 100lb German Shepards, wondering how the hell they would be of any use in an emergency. There are plenty of muzzles and other devices you can attach to the leash to help, but if you still can’t handle them with those you really should rethink your adoption. People always say, “well he never acts like this! he’s such a good boy usually!” Dogs can turn to instinct in an instant, and you should be able to properly handle those situations if they occur.

It's a stereotype that most relationship threads on reddit are full of comments telling OP to leave their SO. This is usually cited as proof that reddit is full of virgins, or angry people, or anti-social incels, or something.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

2020欧洲杯体育在线网址If someone is posting about relationship problems on Reddit, they're usually at the end of their rope, questioning their judgment, and very upset. This happens when the relationship has been going bad, usually for a long time before the post.

Of course2020欧洲杯体育在线网址 the next move is usually to break up! In most cases that is the only reasonable course of action. Most of these people just need outside perspective to confirm the extremely obvious fact that their relationship is hot garbage.

In other words: Happy people in good relationships don't go on reddit asking for advice.
